During an interview with controversial "technology enthusiast" Gordon Novel, Coast to Coast AM Host George Knapp pointedly asked Novel about his involvement with CIA's "rocket man" Dr. Ronald S. (Ron) Pandolfi. Novel, with only momentary hesitation, proceeded to describe Dr. Pandolfi's (and presumably the CIA's) involvement in the quest to "reverse engineer" alleged extraterrestrial technologies behind exotic propulsion.

In addition to Pandolfi, Novel also cited Paul Murad, of the Defense Intelligence Agency, and the Office of the Secretary of Defense ATL. Murad previously had been involved in the STAIF Section "F" conferences on advanced ideas for exotic propulsion technologies.
